Sensitive detection of estrogenic compounds in surface water

Researchers from the German Federal Institute of Hydrology and collaborating laboratories developed and validated an HPTLC-p-YES bioassay for the sensitive detection of estrogenic compounds in surface water. The method enables effect-based screening at pg/L levels, supporting comprehensive monitoring strategies in line with future European water quality standards.
