Instrumental Sales Representative | Eastern U.S.

Camag Scientific, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of CAMAG products across the United States, specializing in Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC/HPTLC) instrumentation. As a global leader in TLC/HPTLC, CAMAG provides state-of-the-art instruments, tools, and concepts, along with training, technical support, and laboratory services. CAMAG products are utilized in diverse fields such as herbal, environmental, forensic, food, and pharmaceutical quality assurance. Established in 1961, the company is renowned for its Swiss-made instruments and its commitment to advancing TLC/HPTLC technology.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Wilmington, NC, with frequent travel throughout eastern US. As an Instrumental Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and driving sales of CAMAG products. You will perform product demonstrations, attend training events, support trade shows, and maintain an in-depth understanding of TLC/HPTLC and its applications to provide tailored solutions to customers. Collaboration with technical and marketing teams is essential to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Technical knowledge in analytical chemistry, or related scientific fields
  • Knowledge in TLC/HPTLC is a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet sales goals
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel and work in a hybrid environment, with occasional on-site and remote tasks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field is preferred
  • Previous experience in laboratory instrumentation sales or a related role is a strong asset
